P&C

A feature of this school is the active and supportive Parents’ and Citizens’ (P&C) association. The evidence of their commitment to the school is their achievements in: improvement of facilities and involvement in school development planning and review.

The school is interested in meeting the needs of the local community. The input of parents is valued and the school recognises the importance of building open and honest communication and linking school with home and community. Parents are welcome to participate in various ways: helping children with reading, cooking, art and craft activities; assisting at swimming, participation in the grounds committee, policy formulation and contributions to cultural days and special events.

The Mundoo State School P&C association is an inclusive, voluntary, not-for-profit, organisation affiliated directly with the school. Operating under its constitution the P&C represents adults from the community; especially the parents and guardians of students at the school, to promote the interests and facilitate the development and further improvement of Mundoo State School.

The P&C works closely with the principal, providing supplemental income to the school by way of business initiatives and fundraising activities held throughout each school year, and actively assisting the school with the numerous projects through its voluntary resources. The dates of all P&C meetings are advertised in the school’s fortnightly newsletter, website and Facebook page.

The P&C conducts monthly general meetings at 3:15pm in the library building. An annual general meeting (AGM) is held in March where the executive committee is voted in for that year and the dates for the general meetings are set. All parents are very welcome to attend these meetings and their participation is encouraged

P&C Membership

Joining the P&C Association

Joining the P&C Association is a great way to keep informed, to contribute to the quality education of your children and to make new friends. Your contribution can be as large or small as you can manage, but your ongoing support of the P&C Association is invaluable. Not only will you be supporting the school community but you will be supported by the overall Mundoo State School community.

You can become a member through completing form and submitting it in person at any General P&C Meeting. The only meeting where you are able to submit a form without being present is the Annual General Meeting, which is usually held in March of each year.

Volunteering with the P&C

You do not need to be a member of the P&C to volunteer.

Volunteering provides enormous value to the school, and can be very rewarding personally for the parents and community members involved.

The work you do is appreciated, needed and fundamental to the development of a successful school community. Enjoy every step of your P&C journey and take the time to celebrate your successes. You do not need to be a member of the P&C to volunteer your time or participate in school activities.

We believe that everyone's contribution is valuable! But it is equally important to say "No" if you need to! Being involved in the P&C is a great way to meet new people and have some fun!
